FogLAMP

Fog Computing is at the heart for new IIoT infrastructures. This relatively new architecture includes the data collection, processing and routing at multiple levels – named Edge, Fog and Cloud. In this talk we will describe Fog Computing architectures and possible implementations.

Tom Arthur of startup Dianomic describes the current state of sensor standards in the IOT (Internet of Things) environment and FogLamp, the open source tools that support those standards.

With the industrial internet of things (IIoT), the number of devices producing data is growing exponentially. These devices are also getting smaller and increasing in variety. This presentation will discuss the collaboration with the Arm® Mbed™ IoT Device Platform to manage OSIsoft’s expanding edge strategy as well as an effort, by alliance partner, Dianomic, to bring the treasure trove of open source development tools to the PI System community.
